Film Scoring Bio
Eric Harper is an Emmy Award-winning composer based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, whose music has been featured in over 6,000 television episode placements and multiple award-winning films. His scores have earned Best Score recognition at both the New York Film Awards and the European Independent Film Awards for Wished, alongside a Primetime Emmy for Create Together, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's celebrated collaborative series on HitRecord.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music's Film Scoring program (Magna Cum Laude), Eric brings rare formal training to an extensive production track record spanning drama, comedy, romance, and documentary. His television credits include How I Met Your Mother, Shameless, The Daily Show, Betty White's Off Their Rockers, Burn Notice, The Originals, and Heartland Docs, DVM, the beloved rural Canadian docuseries for which he scored seven episodes. He is currently scoring Undivided, a PBS documentary series exploring the religious minority landscape of America.
Eric's compositional voice is rooted in warmth, emotional clarity, and melody. He has scored feature films including Inseparable and Wished, collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists including Glen Hansard, Marketa Irglová, Andy Grammer, and Nathan Wang, and composed for organizations including the United Nations and the Universal House of Justice.
Based minutes from active Vancouver Island production locations, Eric is available to work closely with productions from pre-production through final mix.
